With every bottle sold, the youth ski program of the WSV Schladming is supported, allowing the legend to grow richer with yet another chapter.

Taste the Race
As part of "Taste the Race," for the third time on September 4th, 2024, an exclusive wine was blended that embodies the passion and emotion of the legendary Nightrace. In the impressive setting of the barrique cellar, the official wine for the upcoming floodlit spectacle was selected by a prestigious jury consisting of wine ambassador Michael Walchhofer, World Cup winner Renate Götschl, organizing committee head Andreas Schwab, diploma sommelier Sonja Rauch, former ski racer Christian Mayer, culinary ambassador Alexandra Gorsche, CFO of APA Doris Pokorny, and the managing director of Steiermark Tourismus, Michael Feiertag.
The winning wine is a characterful red blend from the 2019 vintage by winemaking siblings Katharina and Karl G. Thaller, composed of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and 20% Zweigelt. As in previous years, the proceeds will go toward projects supporting youth ski development. "Taste the Race Chapter III" not only offers enjoyable moments but also makes a lasting contribution to the future of young people.
The limited edition for the Nightrace on January 28th and 29th, 2025, can now be pre-ordered in a signed wooden box of 6 bottles, autographed by wine ambassador and ski legend Michael Walchhofer!
